“FABRIC OF A LEADER”

11-13-08

It’s work ethic and work habit.

It’s not the nylon from Thailand, that’s not what I mean by fabric.

It takes more than physical attributes to make up a leader.

It’s coming to work with attitude, not anxious but eager.

It’s making followers believe you with every inch, every meter.

It’s making nothing into something like an overachiever.

It’s being a success, but not because you’re the best.

It’s because you try hard and you pass every test, and you don’t settle for less.

If this were a game of basketball, then it’s playing over the rim.

You have many followers and your job is to bring out the best in them.

It’s having the courage to believe although chances are slim.

It’s being an innovator and motivator when the lights are so dim.

In hard times it’s being active not passive.

You have been through a drought before and you know you can outlast it.

It’s picking up the broken pieces and turning glass into plastic.

So, are you made of a leader’s fabric?
