| Bama 27 | Auburn 23 | Throw the records out! It's the Iron Bowl! #2 Auburn Vs # 11 Alabama!! It doesn't get any better than this! Auburn's coming off an off week and most of the Tide's Starters only played a half last week against Georgia State. So look for both teams to be fresh! Both defenses will be tested on Saturday. The game will come down to Alabama getting 3 and outs on defense and making Auburn either punt or snap the ball again. Which ever defense can eliminate the explosive play will win. The Alabama Defense will try to contain Cam Newton. I don't think the Tide D will shut him down, but they will contain him. My X-factor picks for this game are Bama's #4 Maze, and Auburn's # 23 McCaleb. Both of these guys have to make plays be it special teams or on Offense. Their respective teams are counting on the to make plays. |

Interesting picks…I think Miss. St. will have a big suprise waiting for LSU come Sat. as well. The Bengals are questionable on defense. I gotta say also that i too am impressed with the big 250 lb. QB at Auburn that goes by the name Cam Newton. Boy…I bet Urban is wishing that one hadn’t gotten away!!! Can’t wait to see “The Beast-57″ get loose Sat. and the return of HTW – Mark Ingram!!!! Roll Tide!!!! Congrates to the Jax St. Gamecocks, proud to be a JSU Alum!!! Wow, great win!!! I was impressed to see North Carolina play so inspired. Either, LSU has got problems, or the Tarheels are going to be a force to be reconed with in the ACC!!! Maybe both?!?
I agree with you though Todd. Twas a great start to the season. Lets see how Boise St. does tommorrow night. I’m looking forward to the Tide meeting up with the Fighting Joe Pa’s Sat. or Miami/Ohio St. and Florida St./ Oklahoma. Should be another great weekend.

POST GAME THOUGHTS
So far I’m 3-0! The Tide looked good, and Cameron Newton was sharp. LSU survived as North Carolina played with the heart of a champion and should have won that game if the ref makes the pass interference call at the end. Think about just how good North Carolina really is and don’t be shocked if they still end up winning the ACC. I think Virginia Tech will take care of business tomorrow as well. Big shot out to Coach Crowe and the JSU Gamecocks! Ole Miss and Coach Houston Nutt have to be way down today and Rebel fans are ready to jump off a cliff!
Oregeon put up 72 points (a basketball score). Florida and Texas both struggled in their openers and still have a lot of question marks as the competition is only going to get tougher. In both of the young QB’s defense neither of them have the players around them that Tebow and Colt McCoy had last year. All in all a great start to this season!
