It’s the player,
It’s the prayer,

We’ll take this journey one step at a time,
Who among you is prepped for the grind?
If our mindset is team first then the dream works.
Know things will get better even when they seem worse.

Conceive men, because achievement is a plot of belief.

Locked doors and bolted windows,

Mean friends and hateful kinfolks.

But howling wolves can become humming birds,

I guess before you eat you have to stomach first.

 Once you can stand it…then you can handle it,

Then you’ll be a star in the sky…if you’d only keep your candle lit.

It will not matter what your enemies said then,

And you’ll learn to make a way out of a dead end.

 The journey of life can either break you or make you brave men,

All those in agreement will give me an amen.

You will succeed if your logic is positive,

And you not only listen to your heart but you learn to follow it.

 You can raise your level by praying on your knees,

Your quality of life is all determined by the way that you see.

“Chase After Your Dreams”

You should chase after dreams like you are trying to catch a rabbit.

If you work hard for so long, then strong work ethic will become a habit. 

You may only get one chance to catch your dream,

So be ready and steady so that you grab it.

On your journey you will have to stretch and you may have to fight some,

What doesn’t kill you will only build you and in the end you will be awesome!

In your pursuit, be true to you, acknowledge God in all that you do

Remember you miss every shot if you choose not to shoot,

And even if you take your shot and miss, there is still time to regroup.

Moral: We all were made to do something, and God filled our hearts with the desire and passion to do something great! Don’t let you hold you back!

“God’s Team”
They call me servant of the most high,
For Him I’ll live and never die.

I work hard for the Lord and through my sweat and His blood,
I am brave and I am saved by His grace and His love.

Mathew, Mark, and Luke, will look at me and salute.
When they pass me the ball I won’t be afraid to shoot.
I want to be in that number and part of that group.

I’ll go to war for Christ, because I’m the hardest of the troops.
Our team is God’s family and we share his roots.
 
He has the world in his palm.
When I need strength I’ll repent and then I’ll read a Psalm.
He’s the Alpha and Omega, the protector from danger and harm.
He stands with me and helps me weather all the storms.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost…
I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and I will hold Him close.

All of the Archangels have taken me under their wings.
I’ve been a winner since I entered the realm of God’s Team.

August, 2010 POEM OF THE MONTH

I’m calm and collective as I’m hitting my stride,

I’m humble, respected, and focused on getting the prize.

I’ll never grow weak or let the dream go,

I know the stakes are high, even when hope seems low.

Each day means another step,

FAITH is the common trait, so I’ll ask the Lord for help.

I will dominate even when I’m physically drained.

The world will watch as my status will visibly change.

With every movement my body starts aching,

But I never worry because the Godly will make it.

God has His hand behind my map,

I’ll follow His plan through the final lap.

I’ll purse the ring with only minutes to chase,

I’ll see the true king when I FINISH THE RACE.
